Stephen Adams and Becky Soria have figured prominently in Casas’ life as fellow artists and as friends. Both Adams and Soria share Casas’ need to reflect on the relationship between humans, nature, and the contemporary world as well as to create art that has meaning and brings us closer to understanding ourselves. Adams’ work, often characterized as surrealist, reflects his conscious manipulation of forms and symbols. Soria’s work creates images that speak to the distinctive capabilities, frailties, and psychology that are unique to women.
Both Adams and Soria have donated several of their works to the Limits and Proximities gallery, a portion of which will be exhibited as part of the inaugural exhibit “Revelations.”
