This inaugural exhibition brings together select pieces from the more than 200 works of art created across nearly seven decades by Fernando Casas and donated to the Limits and Proximities Foundation for the Arts. The pieces on exhibit are primarily from the period 1990-2019 and are wide-ranging in terms of media and theme. The choice of a more eclectic collection of pieces is intentional to provide the public with a broad sense of Casas’ work. Future exhibitions will be more thematic in nature and will provide the depth necessary to understand certain periods of Casas’ work.
The inaugural exhibition will also include a few pieces by Stephen Adams and Becky Soria both of whom share a long history with Casas.

Together, these works invite the viewer not just to see, but to consider the act of seeing itself. They ask: where does
the world end and the self begin? What are the true limits of our perception, and what lies in the intimate proximities
just beyond?
